Wind is a form of solar energy . It caused by the uneven heating of the earth's surface by the sun . Because of the earth's surface is made from different types , the rate of sun heat absorption is different also.
The terms " Wind Power " describe the process which the wind is used to generate mechanical power or electricity .
Wind Turbines convert the kinetic energy in the wind into mechanical power which can be converted into electrical power .
Wind power available is proportional to the cube of its speed , which means that the power available to wind generator increase by the factor eight of the wind speed doubles .
